Arrandale House

Arrandale House is a beautiful Victorian villa within the charming town of Pitlochry in the heart of Highland Perthshire. Built circa 1868 the house retains many period features reflecting the original detail and fine craftsmanship of the era. Situated in a unique elevated position the guest house has wonderful uninterrupted views over the Tummel Valley, surrounding hills and woodland.

Our tranquil garden attracts many species of birds and wildlife including Red Squirrel, Woodpecker and Pheasant, you may even see Roe Deer resting at the bottom of the garden. The Black Spout Wood which leads to many of the Pitlochry way-marked walking trails is on our doorstep. The spectacular Black Spout Waterfall is a popular destination for visitors and keen photographers.

The centre of town is a leisurely ten minute walk from the house where you will find restaurants, coffee shops and music venues to enjoy. The Pitlochry Festival Theatre provides exceptional entertainment throughout the year and is situated next to the famous Dam and Fish Ladder. The Edradour and Blair Athol Distilleries and the scenic Pitlochry Golf Course are also within walking distance.

Whether you are travelling to Perthshire to enjoy outdoor activities, visit castles, distilleries, or if you are planning a relaxing Theatre break, our guest house is perfectly placed to host you during your stay. 

Directions to Arrandale House

Travelling North on the A9: Take the Pitlochry exit from the A9, signposted Pitlochry and Braemar A924. Continue and you will pass the BP Service Station on the left hand side and the Blair Athol Distillery on the right hand side. Continue past the distillery until you see an arch bridge. Take an immediate right when you pass under the arch bridge where you will see the Atholl Palace gatehouse. Keep to the right of the gatehouse and continue up Knockfarrie Road for approximately 170 metres. Arrandale House is on the right hand side.

​Travelling South on A9: Take the Pitlochry exit from the A9, signposted Pitlochry and Braemar A924 and continue through town until you see the main car parking area and iCentre on the left hand side. Continue for approximately 300 metres and just before the arch bridge take a left turn where you will see the Atholl Palace gatehouse. Keep to the right of the gatehouse and continue up Knockfarrie Road for approximately 170 metres.  Arrandale House is on the right hand side.
