Highland Perthshire is an extremely popular tourist destination in Scotland and for good reason! In addition to the breathtaking scenery  Pitlochry has to offer, there are countless attractions to visit and exciting events happening locally throughout the year. If you are travelling to the area and booking accommodation for your visit, our guest house is situated perfectly for your chosen pleasure.

Enchanted Forest

Uniquely set in the backdrop of the Faskally wood, a facinating show of innovative lighting and original music complementing the natural wildlife environment in and around Pitlochry.
Pitlochry Highland Games

This is a spectacular annual event. Enjoy a full day of traditional Scottish competition including heavy events, athletics, cycling,  piping, dance and
traditional Scottish music.
Pitlochry Festival Theatre

The theatre presents an exciting programme of events which continues through summer, autumn and the christmas period, following through winter with the Winter Words Festival.
Blair Castle and Gardens

Enjoy the beautiful picturesque setting and 750 years of history associated with Blair Castle. It encapsulates remarkable periods in Scotland's history which can be enjoyed through available tours. At the annual highland gathering there is an parade of the Duke of Atholl's ceremonial private army - The Atholl Highlanders. This infantry regiment includes a spectacular pipe band.

Whisky Distilleries

 

Within walking distance from the house you can visit Blair Athol Distillery (founded 1798) and Edradour Distillery (founded 1825) where you can enjoy guided tours and sample a wee dram.

Directions to Arrandale House

Travelling North on the A9: Take the Pitlochry exit from the A9, signposted Pitlochry and Braemar A924. Continue and you will pass the BP Service Station on the left hand side and the Blair Athol Distillery on the right hand side. Continue past the distillery until you see an arch bridge. Take an immediate right when you pass under the arch bridge where you will see the Atholl Palace gatehouse. Keep to the right of the gatehouse and continue up Knockfarrie Road for approximately 170 metres. Arrandale House is on the right hand side.

​Travelling South on A9: Take the Pitlochry exit from the A9, signposted Pitlochry and Braemar A924 and continue through town until you see the main car parking area and iCentre on the left hand side. Continue for approximately 300 metres and just before the arch bridge take a left turn where you will see the Atholl Palace gatehouse. Keep to the right of the gatehouse and continue up Knockfarrie Road for approximately 170 metres.  Arrandale House is on the right hand side.
